STOUT SCARAB – THE FIRST MINIVAN

Back in 1932, the small American company Stout began to market an unusual vehicle with movable seats that could be configured in many directions by the owner. However, the $5000 price during the depression years did not sell many example when a Chrysler Airflow could be purchased for less than $1400 by the mid-30’s. But, the vehicles did seem to inspire the later generations of future minivans.stout-scarab-2
