Coming out of his self-imposed retirement, Garth Brooks kicks off the last of his five shows he performed in Portland, Oregon tonight. The tour has been widely successful with a nice mix of new and old songs. Although part of the Country music scene, Garth Brooks mentioned that he was a huge fan of the British rock group Queen, and told how happy he was to see Freddie Mercury when he was still alive. In an interview with KGW in Portland, Garth explained the great opening of a Queen concert with an electrifying beginning segment of interaction between Freddie Mercury and guitarist Brian May. Garth must have learned something from this, as his own concerts are loaded with great showmanship that you don’t always find in Country music shows. Fans will say that Garth Brooks in an electrifying performer as well!
