Those classic designed London taxis won’t disappear thanks to Geely of China which rescued the company from financial disaster and will continue to build the cars in Coventry in the UK. Manganese Bronze Holding had long built the classic designed London taxi cabs, but a few years ago Geely bought a 20% share in the company as the firm needed financial help. And in recent times the company was on the brink of complete financial, prompting Geely to buy 100% of the company which will have an order of the classic taxis made for shipment to Nanking as a first major order to keep workers in the UK based company busy with work production orders. The upcoming order will be for 500 TX4 taxis. Geely plans to invest millions of British pounds into the company to produce new models in the future and to keep the company relevant in the future.
