For weeks, the smart money seemed to be on Japanese dancer Kenichi Ebina, 38, to win the 2013 AGT talent competition. The inventive dancer managed to absolutely amaze both the judges as well as the audiences each week with his incredible combinations of high tech videogame-like technology along with excellent dancing skills. Judge Howard Stern long had picked Ebina as the winner of this competition, although comic Taylor Williamson managed an incredible late surge in popularity in the closing days to become the runner-up in the competition, likely also ensuring Williamson a promising career as well.
For his part, Ebina seemed humbled by the win, expecting that someone else would win in the end. But, he sold himself short as the great talent that he was. He’s an amazing entertainer.
