Chrysler is working on some prototype cars using a shortened Dodge Challenger chasis for a possible new version of the Barracuda for 2015. If the car is actually built, the small muscle car could have a price range of $60,000 to $70,000, including a ‘Cuda version of the car. The car would likely be powered by a supercharged version of the huge 6.2 liter Hemi engine and may produce as much as 580-660 horsepower, making the car a real rocket ship. Other sources inside Chrysler claim that the name Barracuda might already be dropped by Chrysler back in June as some Plymouth fans objected to that famous name on a Dodge. But, the new Barracuda will likely be a new separate model if it’s actually produced, and the new owners from Fiat seem committed to many new projects for the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge divisions to keep the brand fresh and sales expanding.
