NBA Finals Sell Ads
ABC can’t be entirely sad to see the NBA Finals go into a game seven tie-breaker tonight. That means a lot of advertising revenue for the company with ratings as high as 16.3 million viewers, with 30 seconds going for $500,000 or better, and a one minute ad breaking the $1 million dollar barrier. The NBA Finals are giving the ABC network a rare top 20 set of ratings wins as the most popular Summer season TV viewing, even hurting such longtime Summer favorites as AMERICA’S GOT TALENT which has had to compete with the Tuedsay night NBA games, causing some audience splitting numbers.
Tonight’s game ought to be good….and also good for ABC advertising revenues as well.
