DAILY FINANCE is now reporting that JC Penney is changing it’s company logo for the fourth time in four years. After the company gave it’s controversial CEO Ron Johnson the old heave-ho recently, the company is hoping that yet another logo change will be what’s really needed to lure in the customers along with a more coherent business message to customers.
Apparently, the new CEO of Penney’s believes that Johnson’s attempts to shorten the company name to just JCP were at least part of the company’s problem. Now, the company seems willing to embrace that full JC Penney name once again.
Regardless of all this, I’m sure happy I sold my stock in this company more than a year ago. Now, I don’t have to worry each day what’s going on there.
