Lady Gaga had to cancel the remaining dates on her BORN THIS WAY BALL TOUR after it was discovered that her hip injury was far worse than what was previously thought, and involved a “labral tear of the right hip” that will require surgery to repair. The popular singer tried to continue to perform despite the injury, but discovered that she was unable to walk without extreme pain after last night’s performance show. She was deeply sorry about this injury and very apologetic to her fans on her Website, and fans immediately flooded the site with massive good will wishes for the ailing performer.
The singer is reportedly “completely devastated and sad” that the surgery will force her to miss all remaining shows of the current live performance tour. After the surgery, the entertainer will also have to stay off her feet for an extended period of time until the surgical repairs heal.
There was supposed to be 21 remaining tour dates this season on this tour, including shows in major cities such as New York, Boston and Washington, D.C., with the final show on the tour to end in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 20. With that many shows scheduled to such a short time frame, there was no way to save this tour, because the healing process will take weeks for the singer to recover.
