For 15 years, AVN’s Adult Entertainment Expo has been the second most anticipated Las Vegas trade show next to the huge consumer electronics show in the city as a huge January event. This year, the AVN’s Adult Entertainment Expo will be held at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel. The event should draw thousands of persons to the event as well as hundreds of adult entertainment companies, actors and others. The event often acts as a meet and greet event for business owners of adult entertainment companies get to meet the top stars who will autograph copies of DVDs, photos and other items. It’s always one of the most entertaining trade shows to hit Vegas each year.
There are a number of big events scheduled including the B2B Show 2013. One seminar includes how the adult business community needs to cash in on the FIFTY SHADES OF GREY craze, while other seminars teach business more new ways to make money off of adult toy products geared towards the female audience and other business topics. A legal seminar will help to instruct businesses what to expect in the legal climate in the next few years. In November, voters in Los Angeles County passed a ballot measure that could force adult video producers to use condoms and other barrier devices in their films, creating an interesting legal climate for the adult industry as some producers eye moving to another city where adult movie production is legal. One city council member in Las Vegas has invited the California based companies to move to Vegas. No doubt some will take up this invitation. For $275 tickets, businesses can get an all access pass that includes all events as well as access to 10 party events. For $165, there is a more limited package. The entire ends with the 2013 AVN Awards, where adult films and actors are given awards for top achievements in 2012. Hard Rock Hotel room prices are $79 a night on weekdays, but a much steeper $189 a night on weekends(Friday and Saturday). But, heck for this much fun, many businesses will find this to be the best working vacation they’ve taken all year. But, then again it’s just January.
Sounds like a lot of fun, huh. But, don’t expect Ron Jeremy or Jenna Jameson to carry your hotel bags.
Some year, I really need to ask Kevin to send me to this event as a special correspondent from Wizbang Pop. They offer press passes you know….
