Chicago Bears’ Legend Coach Mike Ditka Suffers Mild Stroke
Mike Ditka, the legendary coach for the highly successful Chicage Bears NFL dynasty has suffered a mild stroke, but appears to be doing well and recovering. While playing cards with some friends, the revered 73 year old former coach had some difficulty speaking. He will miss any NFL game shows this wekend as he recovers, but appears to be doing well with no real complications.
The coach had suffered a heart attack back in his 1988 season with the Bears, but his following sucessful recovery, SNL continued to make jokes about the coach in a series of skits. “The Bears” comedy skits were a popular fixture for years on the show because Ditka was such a powerful Chicago personality, and perhaps the most well-respected coach of his era.
