You know that new wave ain’t that new these days when some veteran new wave act like the B-52s are headlining at a Las Vegas casino like The Joint at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. But, the acclaimed new wave act has found new life performing in Vegas as have a number of other veteran rock acts including ZZ Top, The Black Crowes, Judas Priest, No Doubt and Motley Crue and more. Music acts as well as comics and other entertainers seem to go the full circle from filling up major stadiums, and then later progressing to just filling Las Vegas venues, and may eventually find themselves at Native American casinos like Don Rickles has in more recent years.
Just when you think that many acts have long since hung up their microphones, you find out that they’re still alive and kicking, but just moved off the main stage to a smaller stage in Vegas. So goes the circle of stage life in a nutshell.
If you’re planning a trip to Vegas soon, you might want to catch a few falling stars performing there, who still have more than a little life left in their acts. You could do worse in Vegas.
