Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong is talking about the abuse she (allegedly) suffered during her marriage to Russell Armstrong. You can hear her interview with Nancy O’Dell on Entertainment Tonight about the marital abuse and how she told her daughter about Russell Armstrong’s suicide in the video below.
If you keep up with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills then you know about all the drama surrounding Taylor Armstrong this season. In this week’s episode it is evident that Taylor is losing it, appearing to be having a nervous breakdown. She starts opening up to Kylie about her marriage, but as Kylie points out, never really gets specific about what is wrong in the marriage. She just talks emotionally about fear and misery in the marriage.
Of course, these episodes were filmed before her estranged husband Russell Armstrong committed suicide. His appearances in this season have been edited due to his suicide.
Now, Taylor Armstrong talking more specifics about her marital problems during an interview that will air tonight on Entertainment Tonight.
Some people are criticizing her for talking about marital abuse after her husband is gone and can’t defend himself against her allegations. However, if you’ve watched her on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and seen how she’s struggled to keep it together. Not to mention the mysterious bruises she’s shown up with from time to time it seems pretty apparent there was a lot more wrong in that marriage than she talked about while Russell Armstrong was still alive. I doubt she’s a good enough actress to have faked her efforts to keep the abuse secret or her nervous breakdown.
So why is she talking now? She says she doesn’t have to protect Russell anymore, but that perhaps she could help other women in similar situations.
She and her 5-year-old daughter Kennedy present when Russell Armstrong’s body was found. She talked about having to pull herself together for her daughter. She also said that she told Kennedy that her daddy had gotten sick and died and named a star for him so Kennedy could talk with him every night.
The whole episode is emotional and heart-wrenching. You can watch the Entertainment Tonight teaser video with parts of the interview in the video below.
