Nicolas Cage was arrested for domestic abuse in New Orleans in the early hours of this morning. He looked like the photo below when he was taken into the New Orleans police station.
Nicolas Cage was reportedly ‘very drunk’ when he was fighting with his wife, Alice Kim, in the French Quarter in New Orleans early Saturday morning. The two were in front of a house that Nic Cage insisted was the one they were renting while he’s filming a movie there. His wife was telling him it wasn’t their house. At one point, he grabbed her and tried to pull her towards the house.
When she wouldn’t go with him to the house, he started pounding on vehicles parked on the street. A passerby called the police who came to the scene.
Its being reported that Alice Kim didn’t want her husband arrested, but Cage taunted police saying, ‘Why don’t you arrest me?’. So they did.
NOPD spokesman Officer Garry Flot reported:
“Around 11:30 p.m. last night Cage was arguing with his wife in the 600 block of Dumaine Street. He and his wife were standing in front of a residence that he insisted was the property the couple was renting. She disagreed, and Cage grabbed her by the upper arm and pulled her to what he believed was the correct address. There were no visible signs of injury on his wife’s arm.”
Cage, 47, became enraged and began pounding on several vehicles, according to police, after the argument with his third wife Alice Kim.
“An officer who had been flagged down by on-lookers drove up on the couple, immediately observed that Cage was heavily intoxicated, and ordered him out of the cab, which prompted Cage to start yelling,” said Flot.
Shortly after, police took the actor into custody and transported him into Central Lock-Up. He was charged with domestic battery and disturbing the peace, according to sheriff’s office website.
Nicolas Cage, 47-years-old, was taken to Orleans Parish Prison at about 6:33 a.m. and released on $11,000 bond. He’s scheduled to appear in court on May 31st on charges of domestic abuse and disturbing the peace.
