BET Host DJ Megatron Shot and Killed

BET Host and radio personality DJ Megatron was found shot and killed early Sunday morning.

Wow.  WTF?  Police are reporting that DJ Megatron was shot in the chest and killed while walking to the store around 2 am Sunday morning in Staten Island.  No arrests have been made as of yet.  Manager Justin Kirkland, aka J. Smoove, told the AP:

“He probably had one of the best personalities around, super-positive, happy all the time.”

Born Corey McGriff, the 32 year old hosted BET’s “What’s Good” segment on 106 & Park – check out a video clip below.  He was also known on hip-hop and R&B radio stations in New York and Boston.  He got his start at Kiss FM in New York and also has a movie credit to his name.  In 2005, he appeared in State Property 2.

Manager Regg Rocc told E! News:

“Mega’s family is grateful for all of the condolences and warm thoughts of his fans and friends.  Please continue to uplift your prayers of support as an ongoing investigation is currently being conducted by law enforcement officials.”

DJ Megaton is survived by his three children.
