A Dita von Teese commercial for Renault Clio has been banned from British daytime television as being too racy for daytime television watching Brits. Too much ‘Va-Va-Voom’ and ‘Wow’? You can see the video below and tell us what you think about it.
French auto maker Renault Clio has enlisted the help of some pretty big celebrities, both alive and dead, for their latest ad promotion, ‘Va-Va-Voom’. The list of celebs in the ads include Audrey Hepburn, Marlon Brando, David Bowie Rihanna and Dita Von Teese. But the whoever decides these things in the U.K. decided that the Burlesque queen Dita Von Teese ads are just too racy for daytime television in Britain. Accordingly, her ads have been relegated to ‘adults-only’ hours and taken off day-time hours. They say she just shows too much skin for daytime viewers.
First, when you hire Dita von Teese to do ads titled ‘Va-Va-Voom’, what are you expecting to happen? Second, who better to represent ‘Va-Va-Voom’ than Dita Von Teese? Seriously.
So watch the Dita von Teese Renault commercial video below and let us know what you think. Should it have been banned on British daytime television?? Does it have va-va-voom and wow? Are you still watching the video or what?? Warning: video not safe for daytime television in Britain.
