Domonique Ramirez has been Miss San Antonio since April 2010 and has lost her crown allegedly because of too many tacos? Check out the video and photos below and see if you think she’s too fat to be a beauty queen.
At 5’8 1/2″, 129 pounds and wearing a size 2, 17-year-old Domonique Ramirez has been stripped of her crown allegedly for gaining too much weight. At least that’s what she is claiming. She says she was told to lay off the tacos, salsa and chips and lose 13-pounds to keep her Miss San Antonio crown. When that didn’t happen, she was stripped of her crown and it was turned over to the runner-up in the beauty contest, Ashley Dixon. Is it just me or does Ashley Dixon look larger than the original Miss San Antonio Domonique Ramirez.
Of course, there’s another side to the story. Linda Woods, President of the Board of Directors for the Miss Bexar County Organization, Inc. speaks for the beauty pageant and says its not about race or weight but about her not representing the Miss Antonio crown in a manner befitting the honor. Ms. Woods claims that Ms. Ramirez was chronically late for events, brought her boyfriend to some of the events and violated her contract by doing photo shoots that weren’t approved by pageant officials. Oh, and she added an inch or two to her figure.
Domonique Ramirez sued the pageant to stop them from stripping her of her crown. Unfortunately for her, she lost her bid when a Texas judge ruled that she can’t keep her crown.
Did the taco beauty queen gain too much weight and engage in behavior unbefitting a beauty queen, or was she targeted for being late to events? Now the runner-up, Ashley Dixon will represent San Antonio in the Miss Texas pageant.
The judge sided with the pageant officials. Check out the photos and video below and let us know what is your verdict?
