Happy National Whipped Cream Day!

Bet you didn’t know that today is National Whipped Cream day! Well, it is and we want to wish you a very happy whipped cream day!

Whipped Cream

Today is the birthday of the inventor of whipped cream in a can, Aaron Lapin. He was born on January 5, 1914. Now that you are informed of the history of whipped cream in a can, we can discuss the ways that you might think about celebrating this national holiday. That would involved discussing whipped cream and its uses.

First, you might consider using it on left-over holiday desserts. All the desserts gone? Then you can make some more or just take a swig of the foamy goodness straight from the bottle. Gag. I actually found of list of whipped cream uses. Did you know it takes off make-up? I had no idea. You can use it to shave with, for facials, and many more uses that I never thought of.

Of course, everyone’s favorite use for whipped cream is to sweeten up the sweetest of past-times. So drop by Piggly Wiggly and grab a bottle or ten of whipped cream, go home and surprise your loved one with a little something different (or maybe its not that different for you) for your grown up playtime.

And here I bet you thought the holiday season was over! Its only just begun. National Bean Day is tomorrow, which might not go well with National Whipped Cream Day. I’m getting a visual with that that isn’t that pleasant. Anyway, get in the holiday spirit, enjoy!

I love this photo, Liz. It was from a great classic album by Herb Alpert. Interesting post as well. Congress often slips some strange national holiday declaration legislation into some bills.
