The Library of Congress added 25 classic films to the National Film Registry on Tuesday. Among those added for cultural, historical, or asthetic significance were Empire Strikes Back, The Exorcist, Saturday Night Fever, and Airplane.
Of course any movie that has a scene where a guy is eating spaghetti with the table cloth tucked into his shirt and complains about his father “hitting his hair” has to be included in the National Film Registry.
Of the 25 films added to the National Registry I’d suspect you’d only remember a handful. You can see the entire list here.
