The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2011 inductees have been announced. They include Alice Cooper, Neil Diamond, Dr. John, Tom Waits and Darlene Love.
Every year five new musical acts are added to the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. The are chosen by a group of 500 music industry professionals. The artists have to have been in the music business for at least 25-years before they can be considered for this honor. This years inductees have been announced as Alice Cooper, Neil Diamond, Dr. John, Tom Waits and Darlene Love.
Some of the artists who didn’t make the cut include The Beastie Boys, Bon Jovi, Chic, Donovan, the J. Geils Band, LL Cool J, Laura Nyro, Donna Summer, Joe Tex and Chuck Willis. Maybe next year?
Non-performing inductees are Jac Holtzman of Elektra Records and Art Rupe of Specialty Records.
