Steven Tyler Quits Aerosmith

According to fellow band member, Joe Perry, lead singer Steven Tyler has quit Aerosmith. There have been recent rumors that the band was seeking a replacement lead singer for Tyler. There have been signs of Tyler having both injuries and illness problems recently. After breaking a foot in an accident falling off the stage, Tyler developed some drug problems after the foot surgery forcing him to enter a rehab clinic last year for example.

2009 looked like a very promising year for the 40 year old rock band. A new concert tour was planned. However, with health and personal problems mounting, a concert tour seemed compromised. Now, with the word that front-man Steven Tyler may be gone, the band is back to base zero. Now the search for a suitable front-man starts.

Will Aerosmith survive? Is this the beginning of the end?
