
Michael Jackson's memorial service -- held Tuesday at the Staples Center in L.A. -- pulled in close to 31 million viewers over 19 networks: ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, Telefutura, Telemundo, Univision, CNN, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, Headline News, BET, E!, MTV, VH1, VH1 Classic, TV Guide Network, and TV ONE. The figure is still approximately 2 million fewer viewers than those who tuned in for Princess Diana's funeral in 1997.
- Robin Williams will make a solo standup appearance on HBO in December, with a show taped from his upcoming national tour. "Robin Williams: Weapons of Self-Destruction" will be filmed at Washington, D.C.'s, DAR Constitution Hall in November for airing the following month.
- Val Kilmer and Ryan Phillippe are entering the big-screen take on the SNL "MacGruber" skit. Will Forte and Kristen Wiig will reprise their roles for the film. Jorma Taccone, who created the character and directed most of the skits, is helming; Lorne Michaels is producing.
- Andrea Bowen is moving back to "Desperate Housewives". After she was mostly out of the picture last season off to college, Susan Mayer's daughter Julie will be back in full force in the upcoming sixth season.
- Lee Pace (TVs "Pushing Daisies") and Judy Greer ("27 Dresses") are rumoured to be up for roles in the "Marmaduke" movie.
- Mania.com reports the "The Crow" reboot is not a remake but an all-new take on the mythology of resurrection and revenge. It will not focus on O'Barr's original Crow, Eric Draven, and his quest to avenge the murder of his lover.
