According to the NYDN, JoJo Simmons, oldest son of legendary rapper, Joseph "Run" Simmons of RUN-DMC was arrested on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Friday night for purchasing an unconfirmed amount of Marijuana.
Jojo was behind the wheel of his BMW, which has "JoJo" embroidered on the head rests, rolling a joint when the narcotics officers came up and knocked on his window.
At that point sources claim he attempted to put the vehicle in reverse and escape from the scene almost strking a NYPD vehicle.
Simmons was charged with criminal use of drug paraphernalia, possession of Marijuana, resisting arrest and attempted reckless endangerment.
Though a statement has yet to be released from the Simmons Family, Rev Run issued a short message regarding the matter via his Twitter pager, "You can learn many things from your Children.. (Patience for instance! :-)".
