While I do agree that his comment was indeed "lame," I'm horrified to see that someone who doesn't even have the slightest grasp of the English language would even try and insult another person's intelligence.

As a biking commuter myself, all I can say is that truly a tragedy has befallen our beloved Nobel-Laureate President and his charming wife. I suspect that Rosalynn's bike was taken first, as it likely had nothing but Shimano Dura Ace parts along with Zipp wheels and Speedplay Frog pedals. Jimmy's bike, if it is the one pictured above, was likely just taken as an afterthought.

What's the hub bub about?
Why this is nothing more than a practical application of a little bit of socialism. Just think of the appropreation as a unfunded mandate or as a donation to someone who needed a bike more than the Carters.
After all that is what he has been preaching since he was voted out of Washington by a LANDSLIDE.
President Carter past actions, comments and asscociations with the low life dictators of the world have proven that the American people made the right decision.

He is Americas most popular present abroad. By Far. Jimmy is one of the reasons people fell in love with America. His Carter center is world-renowned and he has won a nobel peace prize. ( I dont think any other president has won one before. )And the guy is tireless, he still works for him. He is going to die the happiest man ever. Jimmy Carter STATESMAN OF THE WORLD
