- A string of ... hheehem.. 'classic' sci fi films are being remade. "When Worlds Collide", "When Worlds Collide", "The Creature from the Black Lagoon", "Flash Gordon", "Westworld", "Logan's Run", "Forbidden Planet", "Frankenstein" and "The Illustrated Man".
- Sorry Daisy fans but "Pushing Daisies" has official gotten the axe. The Hollywood Reporter reports that ABC has also made the decision to chop "Dirty Sexy Money" and "Eli Stone" from their future line up.
- "Chronicles of Narnia" scribes Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have been hired to pen Marvel's "Captain America : The First Avenger". In similar news, "Kung Fu Panda" director John Stevenson has snagged the job of bringing "Masters of the Universe" to the big screen.
- Vanity Fair says its annual Academy Awards party is returning for next year's Oscar night on Feb. 22. The magazine's 2008 bash was canceled in support of the Hollywood writers' strike.
- Melrose Place's Grant Show is about to begin a several show arc on Private Practice. Show will play Addison's hunky brother.
