It's 1994. The GOP promised to dismantle social programs, cut taxes and balance the budget. Newt Gingrich massaged the message, and the "Me Generation" bought it hook, line and sinker. This was the new GOP, and they had made...

A real interesting week at the box office with few great films. Sadly the best of the films, MIRACLE AT ST. ANNA continues to lag so badly. It sure looks like the Paris Hilton lifestyle inspired BEVERLY HILLS CHIHUAHUA sure lured in the viewers far better than the pathetic political comedy attempt by David Zucker to use AN AMERICAN CAROL as a soapbox to preach his conservative leaning politics. Compared to his past films like AIRPLANE and the NAKED GUN series, this one really stinked big time. And Chris Farley's younger and far less talented brother, Kevin Farley really added little to the lead role in the film other than his great obesity. Maybe next time Zucker invests millions of dollars in making a film, he'll try to make something that makes money instead.
