Jean Sarkozy, a fast-rising political star in his own right, married his childhood sweetheart in Neuilly-sur-Seine, his father's former power base and France's richest suburb, in a low-key civil service.
The 100 or so guests at the town hall west of Paris were sworn to secrecy and only informed of the date and time by text message.
He married Jessica Sibaoun-Darty, an heiress to the retailing company Darty - one of France's largest.
Showing he took after his father's reputation for being "Speedy", Jean admitted he had wasted no time in popping the question.
"I promised you at 16 that I'd marry you before my 26th birthday. Well I did it much earlier", he told guests including the President and his third wife, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.

Sacre Bleu, that guy is hot (and his Dad ain't so bad, either). I think I just swooned a little at that Roman nose and 'come hither' stare. And he's a romantic, too?
