Gossip Girl May Not Make It

gossip-girl.jpg

It's possible that the CW's Gossip Girl wont make it through season two. The paltry ratings are making no one happy at head quarters.

The cast, featuring Blake Lively, Penn Badgely and Chace Crawford, have become media darlings and household names. But the show's paltry Nielsen ratings - it averaged 2.2 million total viewers for last year's premiere season and was the 230th- ranked program of the year - mean it could be in danger of being dropped, unless more eyeballs catch Chuck cavorting with Blair.

Other than than that comedy... (Below threshold)

Other than than that comedy about Chris Rock as a boy, I find little I personally like about CW which combined the best of two smaller failing networks almost like the finally weak Studebaker and Packard once combined before failing financially. GOSSIP GIRL is probably one of this troubled network's best bets to eventually attract a new audience and hopefully will grow in viewers if this network is to eventually survive. But I wouldn't but stock in this company myself.
