Goldblum to replace Noth on Criminal Intent

He may not have made it as a hallucinating detective, but Jeff Goldblum has been assigned to Major Case.

USA confirmed Thursday that the veteran actor will be replacing Chris Noth on Law & Order: Criminal Intent next season.

Noth, who perhaps became a little too Big for the badge, is still shooting episodes for the series' ongoing seventh season, so it's currently unclear how Detective Mike Logan will be making his second exit from the ever-evolving franchise.

I sure hate to see Chris No... (Below threshold)

I sure hate to see Chris Noth exit this show. He is excellent in the role, and brought a little freshness to the series. But the new episodes currently airing over at USA Network have been some of the best that I've ever seen in the series.

The Vincent D'Onofrio episodes have always been a little over complicated in regards to plotlines for my own personal tastes, although D'Onofrio plays a very complicated and ballistic character in the series who always seems just one step removed from madness and breakdown himself.

The series is very good and deserves to continue on for many more years.
