- Casting decisions for the $50M epic King Lear. Sir Anthony Hopkins will play Lear, Keira Knightley will play Lear's youngest daughter, Cordelia and Gwen Paltrow will take the role of middle daughter, Regan. Eldest daughter, Goneril, is yet to be cast.
- Richard Dreyfuss is in final talks to play Dick Cheney in Oliver Stone's 'W'. The West Wing is already occupied by the likes of Josh Brolin (President Bush), Thandie Newton (Condoleezza Rice) and Elizabeth Banks (Laura Bush).
- Jack Black is considering a sequel to "School of Rock". Black said "We are seriously thinking about it, there's already a script. In a few weeks we have to decide if we go through with the project or not."
- Tony Todd ("Candyman", "Shadow Puppets") is in talks to topline the sequel to [George A. Romero's, not Zack Snyder's version of] "Dawn of the Dead". the new flick will pick up where the original left off - with the survivors of a zombie plague boarding a helicopter for an unknown destination.
- The trailer for Tropic Thunder is now online. Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. play actors in a war movie who accidentally wander into a combat zone. It's worth looking at but an NSFW warning as the profanity was not cut from the trailer. Check it out.
