- A new Friday the 13th has begun shooting. Brad Fuller, one of the film's producers, writes "In this movie you will see a feral, brutal Jason who is hell-bent on killing in astonishing ways." Of course he is.
- Michael Moore is doing a sequel to "Fahrenheit 9/11". The sequel, says Variety, will pick up where "Fahrenheit 9/11" left off and should realease in 2009 via Overture Films and Paramount Vantage.
- Scooby Doo Prequel: No I'm serious. Daphne's a mystery writer inspired by Murder She Wrote; Fred's a football player with a penchant for jigsaw puzzles who decides to try out for the school paper. Shaggy is as daft as ever and not doing so well at school; and Velma (who I hear might be Asian in the new film) is a teen U.S ambassador for World Hunger.
- George Clooney will topline "Men Who Stare at Goats." The pic is an adaptation of British journalist Jon Ronson's book about the U.S. Army's First Earth Battalion, a unit that was to use paranormal powers. Title refers to the notion that one can kill a goat by staring at it.
- Casting has not yet been revealed for the film version of the eighties TV series "The A-Team," (due in theaters June 12, 2009 from 20th Century Fox) but rumors are circulating heavily these days that Bruce Willis will be stepping into the ringleader role as John "Hannibal" Smith.
