Met Costume Gala Red Carpet (Wizbang Pop!)

Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Gala for the opening of the exhibition "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy." The annual gala was held Monday May 5th.

A curvacious Julia Robertswith Giorgio Armani. Anna Wintour in a one of a kind Chanel (which is good b/c we don't need two of those). George Clooney & Sarah Larson, Mischa Barton and Gisele Bundchen. Whose slender figure looks like a Kaminoan. You know, the gray creatures who created the clone army for the republic? But yea... I digress.

Diane Kruger spiced up a silver cocktail dress with pink Louboutins, Christina Ricci in pink Givenchy, Emmy Rossum & Dita Von Teese looking lovely in black and white.

If you're catching a glare from a thumbnail pic it's likely Katie Holmes in the wild red vintage Giorgio Armani number with bright blue shoes. But props to Katie as she was the only one (besides Wintour) who really stuck with the theme. Oh, and Tom was there too.

Ashley and MK Olsen, what can be said. Blake Lively in Ralph Lauren with adorable matching gloves. And I hate saying nice things about Eva Longoria but that dress is fabulous. My beloved Maggie Gyllenhaal is, as always, wonderfully unique.

JLo looks fine but nothing special. She did come with that husband of hers but no one wants to look at that. Lake Bell has me eating my words. She look ready to concure Gotham. In a bad way. Claudia Schiffer is presumably in Valentino since he's standing next to her. And Kimora Lee Simmons can dress up all she wants. She continues to look more like an old Hawaiian man every day.
