CBS and "The Young & the Restless" led the nominations Wednesday for the 35th annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
CBS netted 56 nominations, collecting 17 for "Restless," which was among the contenders for best daytime drama. PBS received 50 nominations, including 13 for "Sesame Street." Two other programs, "Guiding Light" and "One Life to Live," also received 13 nods, while "As the World Turns" received 12.
The Daytime Emmys will be awarded June 20 during a ceremony at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. ABC, which received 39 nominations, will broadcast.
ABC's chatfest "The View" picked up seven nominations, including best talk show/entertainment. "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," with eight nominations, has won that category every year since 2004.
One talk show host guaranteed to walk away with an award is Regis Philbin, who will be honored with a lifetime achievement award.
