It appears that the question of whether the federal government is going to bail out the state of California has been rendered moot. Two large banks have announced that they...

It's 1994. The GOP promised to dismantle social programs, cut taxes and balance the budget. Newt Gingrich massaged the message, and the "Me Generation" bought it hook, line and sinker. This was the new GOP, and they had made...

I speculated recently that the worm may be turning as it relates to the Obama administration's political capital. The near Teflon like protection that a fawning press afforded him is...

Another day, another Obama infomercial. President Barack Obama held a townhall style meeting today, one in which the audience was "hand-picked" by White House staffers. It was conveniently "moderated" by...

LOL. Seacrest uses Jennifer... (Below threshold)1. Posted by bryanD | February 26, 2008 2:38 AM | Score: 1 (1 votes cast)
LOL. Seacrest uses Jennifer Garner as a situational human shield. What a fruit!
Gary Busey is still doing his Teddy Jack Eddy character, I see (circa 1972, "Uncanny Film Festival", 11pm, KOTV-6, Tulsa). His costar then was another homey-gone-to-hollywood, Gilliard Sartain. A great comic duo for a city of 150,000. They did short skits during the breaks of old grade-z monster flicks.
Busey played the aggressive hillbilly jock-type always pushing the rotund Sartain around. Humiliations, broken tables; Urban redneck humor at its finest!
Sartain has managed to handle Hollywood well (voicing the heavy in The Simpsons Spin-Off Special episode, etc). Busey, obviously not, except for the money. And the invites. (You don't just Walk on to the red carpet!)

Honestly, I thought Lara Linney handled the situation beautifully. Jennifer did so initially, but seemed to use Busy as an excuse for her stiff and nervous demeanor. And Ryan's beyond tupid questions to Jennifer about being a "Supermom" and "balancng everything" ws the ultimate in nonsene iteviewing.
