I really wasn't going to cover this because if was such an obvious scam, but since it appears to be spreading it's time to expose the scam behind the story that Britney Spears paparazzi boyfriend Adnan Ghalib gets paid to test penile enhancement creams.
Popcrunch and then UK based Now Magazine (relying on the Popcruch story) fell for the scam. A quick look at the SexHealthReview site confirms that the person listed sure does appear to be Britney's paparazzi boy toy Adnan in the test panel for the various penis products . Here's what the pill-popping, cream applying panel looks like:
Sensing a story that was too stupid to be true, yesterday we took the extra five seconds to ring up the page in the Google cache to see what it looked like a few days (or in this case weeks) ago. It turns out that the page has changed since Google last checked it three weeks ago. On December 30, 2007 here's what it looked like.
And farther down the page...
Just as I figured...
So how did this story get started? Someone sent this blast to every celebrity gossip blogger they could think of, then sat back and waited for someone to spread the story.

Subject: Britney's Adnan a test monkey?
Hey, My husband and I are a big fan of your site, even though he hates to admit it :) . Recently he did reveal his true gossip queen side. He showed me an interesting thing he found on a site that he asked me to confirm. The site is called sexhealthreview.com and it has britney's paparazzi boyfriend adnan as one of its product reviewers. Maybe this was something that he was doing on the side before he got all the media attention? I always thought that he was a sell-out, but this is going to a whole new level. Was he or is he still really a test monkey for a male enhancement review site? I wonder how much they paid him? Is there any way that you can verify wether it is true or not? Here is the link to where his info is: http://www.sexhealthreview.com/ourtestpanel.phpI know you have a lot of e-mails to reply to, but please let me know if you find out anything more about this
P.S.- My husband was really excited when he found out that I was going to email you about this because he feels like he is contributing to the gossip community.
Thanks.
Mary & John
Oddly our reply to the "tipster" that the story was a scam got no response. The obvious goal in the whole scam by "Mary & John" was to get traffic to the SexHealthReview website...
