Two weeks after confirming that production on the six-episode spinoff Heroes: Origins was halted indefinitely, NBC has come up with an alternative way to introduce yet another new genetic mutation into the hit series' existing lot.
On Monday, NBC.com's Heroes site launched a Create Your Hero feature, through which users can vote online for the attributes they'd most like to see in new male and female heroes, from continent of origin to--eventually, one would think--super power.
Like the comic book serials Heroes resembles, Create Your Hero is being rolled out in installments, meaning that "Week 1" only offers the categories Place of Birth, Appearance and Body Type--all of which are mighty vague--to choose from.
Viewers will get to witness the new character's weekly evolution during commercial breaks before the final unveiling sometime next year.
