Celebrity Foreclosures

According to celebrated celebrity real estate columnist Braden Keil in his recent Gimme Shelter column in the New York Post

Here's the skinny: Keil says Veronica Hearst, step mom of SLA hostage Patty Hearst, has a Palm Beach monster mansion that's going into forclosure. Widow Hearst recently defaulted on mortgages and loans totaling a mind bending $33,000,000. Seems most of her inheritance is tied up in trusts and she can't get her hands on it. The 52-room, 28,000 square foot behemoth, dubbed "Villa Venezia," includes four kitchens and was purchased in July 2000 for $29,870,000, the 3.5 acre estate, with both ocean and intracoastal waterway frontage.

ALSO, Nicole Murphy, Eddie Murphy's ex-wife and baby mama, is also in default on a mammoth mansion in Granite Bay-which is just outside Sacramento, Calif.-that she was awarded in the couple's 2006 divorce. The 11,158 square foot mansion (pictured above) on the market for $6,500,000. And trust me, that's a steal. Sure, it's one of the tackiest places you've ever seen but tacky can be made over. Look at all that land!!!
