Bizarre is the perfect word... (Below threshold)1. Posted by themediatap | September 10, 2007 1:01 AM | Score: 1 (1 votes cast)
Bizarre is the perfect word for this weak performance. She was flabby, barely lip-synced, and quite embarrassing. I think this was more of a publicity stunt than a real performance. If so, she's got a lot of work ahead of her if she wants to regain her pop star status. Everyone was rooting for her too.

She seemed liked she was sedated or something, no energy what so ever. This girl must have some serious demons to blow such a wonderful opportunity. What a waste!

Unbelievable! I am speechless after seeing Britney on T.V. this morning. This performance was just gawd awful. MTV should have known this though after Britney's little diddy at the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida earlier this year. She was awful.
It really is starting to get on my nerves watching a hazbeen - out of shape - 25 going on 60 year old trying to be something that she is not. Britney should be ashamed of herself. She should have been practicing for months before she put herself out on that stage.
Britney if you are reading this girl, you need to get your act together or give it up. You might want to quit taking whatever drugs you are taking they are making you lethargic (that means tired)! Pretty soon people will start throwing tomatoes at you if you keep this crap up.
I will betcha that pos you were married to is laughing his a.r.s.e off at you too. Why you put yourself in this type of position is beyond me. Get it together girl or you will be finished!

had to make one more comment....did you all see Akon, Diddy and Kid Rock's faces during this performance? They all looked confused, like is this really Britney?
I also noticed that Britney looked very stiff and did not appear to be able to bend much. I am wondering if she has a bad back or something? She also should have worn a better outfit, she is too fat for that type of clothing.

Okay okay... let's start by looking at the positive.
Her make-up was good. She actually looked pretty again. Her tan was also fine.
The weave was good. If you didn't know she'd have to be wearing a wig or a weave, you'd almost not know that wasn't her hair.
Her dancers had a lot of energy and looked very professional.
I have now covered everything positive about that performance. The costume choice was absolutely terrible. While her figure has improved, she does not yet have the body back to dance around in a studded bra and panties. As everyone else has already pointed out, the lip-synching was bad and she looked dull and unenergetic. First time I'd heard the song. It sounded like standard Britney Spears fair, which means it's most likely good enough for her brainless fans to eat up in spite of its mediocrity.
The music community really needs to quit giving her chances and just let her go. She's a has-been.

Think about all the bad press lately and then top that off with a hangover. She's probably wanting to hide in a corner. Who out there hasn't had some bad experiences though. Just hope she wins her battle whatever it may be.
