Wilson Watch: And Now Back To The Benjamins

It's been 3 days since the 'incident' and by now I imagine Owen Wilsons cell phone is vibrating madly with all the pressing concerns a talent agency can dream up. So what is to become of Owens completed, in production and pre-production projects? Here's the skinny:

The Darjeeling Limited: It's too late to save face on this masterpiece. Which is a shame b/c it reunites Wilson with his creative touchstone Wes Anderson. But Dejeerling hits the festival circuit this weekend and wide on Sept 29th. Count Owen out.

Tropic Thunder: TT is currently filming in Hawaii and Wilson is supposed to appear in the film. According to Variety the star, who was only set to do a cameo in the film, has already dropped out.

Marley & Me: It was only announced last week that Owen and Jennifer Aniston would star in the film and shooting doesn't even start until January. All KINDS of damage control can be spun by then. Absolutely no desicions have been made and there is plenty of time to do so. And kudos to 20th Century Fox for this so unhollywood response; "It's a totally inappropriate question at this time when all our thoughts and concerns are with his health and well being."
