Paris Hilton is set to star in the next series of 'Celebrity Big Brother' UK after reportedly being offered more than $600,000. (below: Paris spends this weekend at her Malibu estate)

The hotel heiress, who starred in her own reality TV show 'The Simple Life', is said to be desperate to raise her profile in the UK and sees the Channel 4 series as the perfect opportunity to do that.

A source said: "We told Paris, 'Name your price.'

"We're in firm talks and it would be a fantastic coup to get her.

"She wants to show she's more than a blonde bimbo.

"She would easily be the star of the show - but obviously she won't do it unless the money is right."

Shilpa Shetty, the winner of the last 'Celebrity Big Brother', was paid a reputed $600,000 for her appearance but bosses are willing to surpass the enormous sum to secure Paris.
