Just when it looked like Paris Hilton had finally run out of luck and become unemployed with the cancellation of her TV show, "The Simple Life," the celebutard landed a starring role in a movie.

Hilton will sing and act as she plays the privileged daughter of Paul Sorvino in "Repo! The Genetic Opera" - a musical set in the year 2056, "when a plague nearly destroys the human race and survival is dependent upon being able to finance a pricey organ transplant," Variety reports.
Sorvino, who has been impressing restaurant patrons with his opera singing, will play the villain, an organ transplant magnate.
Though Hilton was unimpressive in her other movies, "House of Wax" and "Raising Helen," "Repo!" director Darren Lynn Bousman, who also helmed the three "Saw" films, is certain the ex-con is the right choice as leading lady.
"This movie has become my life," Bousman, who spent several years on the project, told Variety. "I have auditioned at least 30 actresses for this role - Paris came in and owned it. She is this role." Just in time.
