- Amy Holden Jones ("Indecent Proposal", "Mystic Pizza") has been hired to rewrite the remake of "The Entity". The pic, to be directed by Hideo Nakata, tells of a woman who is tormented and sexually molested by an invisible demon. FOX Atomic will distribute the remake. Barbara Hershey and Ron Silver starred in the 1981 original.
- According to Coming Soon, male model Marcus Schenkenberg may have booked a plum role in the forthcoming "Terminator 4". Schenks appeared on a Dutch TV programme announcing that "T4" is one of four new projects that he has signed up for. Apparently he also mentioned that Arnie has a few seconds in the movie - but that's it.
- Dane Cook is in talks to star in Bachelor No. 2, a comedy that Howard Deutch is in final negotiations to direct for Lionsgate, says The Hollywood Reporter. Written by Jordan B. Cahan, the script focuses on a man named Tank, known for being hired to take girls out on absolutely terrible dates so they will crawl back to the boyfriends they dumped.
- Dennis Iliadis will direct a remake of Wes Craven's first film, The Last House on the Left, which Craven is producing for Rogue under his Midnight Pictures. Adam Alleca is on board to rewrite the script. Craven said the remake will retain the spirit of the original, about killers who inadvertently seek refuge with the parents of one of their victims, but aim for a more realistic tone.
- Dee Wallace will star in Dante Tomaselli's "The Ocean", the filmmaker tells Bloody Disgusting. The film, a chilling horror piece based on an original script by Tomaselli, will see Wallace play a "troubled medium, haunted by visions of eternal damnation."
