TV NEWS

FX has had some decent shows in the past but the future isn't looking as bright. Both "Dirt" and "The Richies" have been renewed for a second season. Good for them.

Word on the street is that NBC's 'Law & Order' may migrate to TNT if they get bagged by the peacock. The cable network, which has long aired reruns of the original "L&O," is said to be considering picking up the two lowest-rated parts of Dick Wolf's trilogy should NBC axe them.

According to TVGuide.com's Michael Ausiello, ABC is considering moving Ugly Betty to Sundays at 8 as a lead-in to "Desperate Housewives," perhaps a more compatible pairing. "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" would, under that scenario, move to 7 p.m. replacing "America's Funniest Home Videos." No word on where AFHV will go but they better not get rid of it. It's all I have left on Sundays.
