I got to agree with Faith. ... (Below threshold)1. Posted by VagaBond | November 7, 2006 10:53 AM | Score: -1 (1 votes cast)
I got to agree with Faith. Female Vocalist of the year should be about Vocals, not a popularity contest. Last year it was Gretchen Wilson, I think who is an average singer. Sara Evans & Martina McBride are easily better vocalists than Carrie & Gretchen. Faith is also better. I can understand her disbelief.

Carrie is the best singer in the bunch and had the best sales last year. Faith and Carrie were the top two nominees. I'm sure Faith was joking around.

Faith Hill is a sore loser. Very poor taste. I have noticed that she is a little full of herself lately. Carrie has been a joy to watch her growth and is an absolutely major talent.

I think the most pathetic thing is that people actually care about silly award shows. Spend all that money just to give some overpaid singer an award that has very little meaning to it. We don't even spend half as much telling out teacher, doctors, nurses, and other more comendable vocations how great they are but spend millions of dollars to watch these overpaid morons pontificate about how great they are. Priorities of the people are all messed up.

YAY! I'm so proud of Carrie! She deserved it and she has impeccable vocals.. and she's worked so hard! I'm so happy for her!

I think Carrie deserved it. Some people think she hasn't payed her dues, it's not about paying dues. I would like to know just how many "protestors" would be able to get up on the American Idol stage for their first public performance and win the show! Dues can be payed in lots of different ways. I'm am also a big fan of Faith Hill but now I'm always gonna look at her differently.

I don't think this is an issue of who was more deserving to win but rather an issue of poor behavior. Faith Hill's behavior was bad. Why would she feel the need to make up a story when she could simply apologize?
