'I ate with wild abandon,' says 'Fat Actress' star, who's dropped 75 poundsA steak, half a loaf of French bread, six cups of pasta, 20 sugar-free Popsicles and a dozen grape sodas.
What reads like a family shopping list is only part of the daily diet that ballooned Kirstie Alley from a buxom beauty to "Fat Actress."
"I had a holiday mentality," Alley, 55, told Life magazine this week. "I ate with wild abandon. Twenty-six, seven, eight thousand calories a day."
Fed up with merciless paparazzi pictures, the "Cheers" comedienne made light of her 220-pound frame with biting wit on her tongue-in-cheek Showtime series "Fat Actress."
She then got serious about losing and became a Jenny Craig spokeswoman in 2005. Alley learned portion control and has slimmed down by 75 pounds. And to prove it, tune in to "Oprah" today to see Alley flaunt her fab new figure in a bikini.
"Now I feel happy with the way I look and feel. For me, that's the greatest thing that's happened."
