I have it on good authority that this was a train wreck. And how can it not be? Vaughn plays the bad boy, fast talking smart ass so well b/c its very true to who he is. The idea of sitting with my gal Pippa and talking to American Idol cast offs smacks of the Aniston influence. I'm uncomfortable even picturing it.
It's not Vaughn's first time hosting a talk show, though. Back in 2003 Vaughn filled in for an ailing David Letterman and blew the roof off with his monologue which suggested Letterman was either 'drying out' or being treated for an STD.

Vince Vaughn filled in for US morning TV host Regis Philbin yesterday morning and quickly won his audience over with humor. The Swingers star co-hosted Live With Regis And Kelly and interviewed guests, engaged in morning chit-chat and gave away prizes. Co-host Kelly Ripa was smitten by Vaughn's charms saying, "I can't believe I'm sitting here next to a bona fide movie star. Now I can play footsie with you under the desk and no one can see! I thought for sure one of the producers must have had nude photos of you somewhere. I was like, 'Wow! How did we get him?'" Vaughn hosted the show live from New York City where he is promoting his new movie The Break-Up with Jennifer Aniston.
