Been a fan of his from the beginning and I still can't get some of his performances out of my mind. He's the most unique American Idol contestant I've ever watched. I'm looking forward to buying his CD.

If you like Taylor, I suggest you listen to
a) Anything will Bill Medley singing, including Righteous Brothers hits, and "I had the time of my life" (with Jennifer Warnes) from "Dirty Dancing".
There is now an anniversary edition of Dirty Dancing out on DVD with a concert attached. Even at this advanced age, Bill Medley brings enormous vocal power to his stylings. If you like Taylor, you should love Bill Medley as well.
b) Early Ray Charles. Taylor has patterned several of his vocal stylings after Ray.
c) Joe Cocker
d) Michael McDonald.
Then, by all means, rent the movie "The Commitments" and compare the lead singer in the fictional group there to Taylor.
Then, rent a "Simply Red" concert. Although his voice is in an entirely different range, Mick Hucknall has some stylistic elements that you'll enjoy.
Taylor sings great music with feeling, and managed his stint on Idol with the astute political sense that some of the other candidates lacked. Listen very carefully to his singing, though. If you hunt around the internet, you can find a "tribute compilation" which includes a recording by Taylor and his band. I'd give a good listen to this, as I found it quite revealing.
Although I am a Kat fan, I love soul and was fortunate enough to hear Ray Charles live 3 different times, including one time when the power went out and he entertained us in the dark with minimal backup for a half hour, and another time at Cornell University when he "warmed up" by playing virtually every instrument in the band, then delivered the most emotionally satisfying concert of my life. He was "on" that night!! Unbelievable!!!
I heard a PERFECT rendition of "Georgia" and "I Can't Stop Loving You" and "What'd I say". Still gives me goosebumps.

Hello Everyone,
I am a golfer myself and I like to play whenever I get a chance.
A short while ago, a very good friend of mine told me about a great golfing equipment and accessories website that has discounted prices on all their products, same day shipping in most cases and there is no state sales tax, they are paying that.
So if any golfer here is ready to save some money on quality products at highly discounted prices, you might want to check out their site at; http://hoffmangolf.com
