Shouldn't predictions of this magnitude be mentioned, in say, less then 5 months after they're received? Its bad enough you're not even certain of what you heard.

The Rev. Pat Robertson says God has told him that storms and possibly a tsunami will hit America's coastline this year. The founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network has told viewers of "The 700 Club" that the revelations came to him during his annual personal prayer retreat in January.
"If I heard the Lord right about 2006, the coasts of America will be lashed by storms," Robertson said May 8.
He added specifics in Wednesday's show.
"There well may be something as bad as a tsunami in the Pacific Northwest," he said.
Robertson has come under intense criticism in recent months for suggesting that U.S. agents should assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's stroke was divine retribution for Israel's pullout from the Gaza Strip.

You would think that if God spoke to you, he would do so in a manner in which he couldn't be misunderstood.
This reminds me of the episode of Family Guy in which they are ulogizing Brian's mom:
(Stewie)
"... And God said to Abraham 'you shall kill your son, Isaac' and Abraham said ' what? I can't hear you. you will have to speak into the microphone.' and God said 'I'm sorry is this better...check..check, Jerry could you take out the high-end, I'm getting alot of hiss......."
Cannot wait to hear what he will say when this doesn't happen...like Orel Roberts when he needed a cool mil or God said he would strike him down.

Franky!
The problem is that Pat Robertson does not think. Actually, the same could be said for lots of Christians and other followers of organized religion.

The various forms of turmoil we have seen in recent years is a phenomenon typical of the turn of a century. But the turmoil is especially symptomatic of an underlying cause - the upheaval, wherever you look, in human thinking and the aggressive behavior which stems from it. There is fear and hate expressed in many forms, and we all know what these are. There is also too much ignoranace, still, of the fact that God is wholly good and does not cause evil. God's goodness is brought out in both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. The best way to reduce weather extremes and other natural disasters is to express good will toward men more widely, and maintain that course more consistently. Good will toward men and peace on earth go hand in hand. They are positively and inextricably related. I have seen too many cases of local storms calmed and natural disaters averted through the effectual prayer of righteousness (ie the understanding of God rightly) to believe otherwise. God is good, and He has only the best in Mind for us. But we must accept His all-goodness, and conform to it in our daily thoughts and actions in order to find that goodness and well-being expressed reliably in our lives. Attributing evil and disaster to God is of no use, letting our lives conform to His divine law, though, is of immeasurable benefit.

Pat robertson is not a prophetand does not recieve messages from god. Did god actually say " A tsunami MAY hit." What? What do u mean "may" hit. Does god not know for sure if a tsunami is going to hit the US, so he told Pat Robertson it might be as bad a tsunami. And of course the Us coast is going to be lashed by stroms, its called hurricane season. I have a inspired predicition, god will send blizzards down on the US between the mounths of october and march. He will call this smiting, winter. And a great coldness will decend upon the land. and low the people will have to wear coats and booots.

Tell Pat Robertson to pray again and this time wish for the biggest kick ass tsunami EVER. This tsunami needs to be real big so it can wash over Saudi Arabia and give those smelly Muslim pagans a well deserved bath. Miracles are possible.

After all that has been said, now what? Did it change anything? Will it prompt God to speak differently to Pat next time? Or will it cause judgement to fall where it may, on those who speak against a servant of God. Remember this scriptue: touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm...Unless you have no doubt in your heart about the word of God and how He works, I would be very careful of what I speak concerning His servants.(DON'T SHOT THE MESSENGER):-)

Pat Robertson is a fraud. A real christian would not have prayed for the death of supreme court justices. god has contorl over all things so, I really christian would ahve prayed for god to change the minds of the justices. Areally christian woudl not use money and airplanes meant for straving refuges to ship mining equipment to his mine in liberia. A real christian would not defend Liberian dictator and crimes against humanity suspect Charles taylor. WWJD? woudld Jesus support charles taylor? No. He would not. You have faith which is to be commended but it is miss guided if you palce it in this man instead of in god. Why can't Pat robertson be a fraud? Is he god, is he even a prophet? No clearly not. Everyone wants some concrete proof of god. But Pat Robertson is not that proof. Rather he is proof of the power of greed, lies, and arogance. he is a flase prophet. (claiming to hear messages from god about the future is claiming to recieve prophacy, therefore Robertson claims to be a prophet).
