In yet another move to endear George Lucas to his fans, there's a rumor that he is thinking about releasing the original films on their 30th anniversary with a 3-dimensional treatment. In fact, Moviehole.net says that Titanic and the Lord of the Rings trilogy might get the third-dimension, as well.

The sound you hear now are frustrated geeks in their parent's basements, grinding their teeth, and planning really mean posts about Lucas on their blogs. That would include me, I guess.
