Ron Mueck

Indulge me for a moment while I take a step off the usual celebrity fare, and I show you something that doesn't involve giant monsters, snakes on planes, or naked women suing website owners. Tonight I present hyper-realism, the art of making something look like a photo, only with a changed scale.

I saw this link at Fark.com, and thought I'd share some of the work of Ron Mueck (link Not Safe For Work). They are amazingly life-like, and your eyes get lost in the detail. I'm thinking this'll make you feel a lot different about that Britney Spears statue.
