This was almost a show on Fox. Seriously. From The Lonely Island:

In May 2005, The Dudes were hired to create a pilot for FOX. This cut includes live stage segments and laugh track in hopes of appealing to a broad audience.

Think about it, Fox, you had Cronic of Narnia, every week, and you PASSED! They even made an edgier version for MTV or Comedy Central, and they passed, too.
